Q. Will granite or quartz scratch, burn or stain?
A: Granite can scratch, but only from a material harder than granite. Quartz is manufactured to be a very hard stone and is difficult to scratch. No countertop is scratch proof. Granite and quartz can withstand temperatures up to 1200 degrees (f). We recommend having a cutting board and trivet for hot plates for both materials. Granite countertops may stain if liquids are left to infuse onto the countertop. However, liquids that spill and are wiped off in a few minutes generally do not stain granite. Although quartz is non-porous and resists stains, liquid spills should be wiped up promptly. Coffee, wine, vinegar, lemon juice and other liquids should not be allowed to sit on a quartz countertop for long periods of time.
Q: How long will it take to get my countertop installed?
A: Once we have a template of your countertops, we can usually have your job installed and ready for you to enjoy in 8-14 days.
Q: Can I re-use my existing sink?
A: Yes, you can, but we don’t recommend it. The countertop installation is the perfect opportunity to replace your existing plumbing fixtures. In addition, once the countertops are in place, it will be very hard to replace it later.
Q:Can I re-use my existing backsplash?
A: Generally, No. Tile is easily broken and no installer should guarantee that they can save your existing back splash. This is due to the thickness of the previous countertop and leveling of material. We would recommend getting a completely new backsplash when getting a new countertop.
Q: How do I get an estimate?
A: You can call or stop by the showroom or fill out the form under the link on the website and someone will get back to you within 24-48 hours/
